Our client is a boutique Firm with 150+ people in Scotland offering a full range of services to clients in Scotland. They support early stage, high growth businesses through to large corporations, private equity funders, public sector bodies, and lending institutions. Due to growth, they now require someone to join their team in Corporate Finance to help this small but growing team advise their range of clients in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, due diligence, and fund-raising support. This role can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh and will cover Scotland wide.
The role will be focused on both Transaction Advisory and Financial Due Diligence which will provide a real depth of experience across Corporate Finance but will also provide the opportunity to develop their longer-term career in either discipline.
What does this role include:
- Supporting the Partner in delivering high quality advice and reports for a range of clients
- Managing junior members of the team and providing on the job coaching
- Preparing financial due diligence reports for Partner review
- Being actively involved in the day to day management of buy and sell-side transactions
- Working closely with clients being the main day to day contact
- Developing new business for the team through internal and external networking
What we are looking for:
- Be fully qualified (CA, ACCA or equivalent) or part qualified with an appropriate level of practical experience, or
- Have another relevant professional qualification or experience in a related industry including banking or private equity
- Have experience of working in lead advisory or transaction services or be commercially minded and have a real interest and aptitude for the role
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have an eye for detail
- Have an established network of contacts and willing to be actively involved in networking and business development
- Have excellent technical knowledge and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and CPD
- Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and be able, and willing, to take ownership for their work
- Be a strong team player and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
