Métier Peoples is currently supporting a leading national firm of accountants and advisory professionals experiencing considerable growth in Scotland, with their search for a Tax Technology Manager or Senior Manager to join the National Tax Team. The job can be based in either Edinburgh, Inverness or remote.
The Role:
You will play a key role working with both the Tax and IT teams to develop new tools, improve internal reporting capabilities and ensure that the firm makes the most of the opportunities that new technology offers. The team provides policy, technical and risk management support to the tax practice.
The role would suit an individual already working in tax but looking to move to a more technology-focused position.
Responsibilities:
- Working with teams around the firm to develop tools and identify where technology can be applied to tax work.
- Developing and delivering training and guidance on new systems and processes.
- Working with internal stakeholders, including IT and suppliers to implement new technology solutions.
- Developing the tax intranet and knowledgebase.
- Supporting other National Tax initiatives as needed.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will act as a key interface between tax and IT teams, you should have:
- Strong tax skills (ATT or equivalent) and a passion for technology, with the curiosity to explore the potential of new technologies to improve working ways.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels, in person and virtually.
- Excellent technology skills, including Excel. SharePoint and PowerApps experience would be beneficial and highly regarded.
- Previous experience designing and delivering training, and/or previous project management experience would be desirable but not essential.
- Working as part of a small team, the successful individual will need to be self-starting and able to balance priorities across multiple projects effectively.
