It all began with an idea and in this case a glass of wine. For some time, Amy and I have discussed establishing a truly specialist finance search firm dedicated to niche markets within finance, as well as core finance. Today marks the launch of Metier Peoples.
Metier Peoples is a Scotland based recruitment company focusing on the placement of the following professionals within industry and the profession:
· Finance
· Tax & Treasury
· Internal Audit, Assurance & Risk
· Corporate Finance & Advisory
Between us, we’ve helped both small and large organisations across a range of industries, as well as accounting firms of all sizes to identify and attract the very best talent in the market, both locally and internationally. The Central Belt in Scotland is where we call home, however we operate Scotland wide.
We have worked together for a number of years across specialist finance markets within Scotland, and further afield, within some very different businesses. As such, we’ve been fortunate enough to see a variety of operating practices, some which we liked and others which weren’t as in touch with our own ways of working. I think this is what initially prompted discussions around creating a finance search firm which completely aligns to our own values.
We both agreed that it was imperative to have a clear purpose statement which would guide how we plan to continue to operate within the finance community. We have defined our purpose as follows:
We support our two client groups; employers and candidates, with well matched appointments that will have a lasting impact on the business and the individual.
The longer term impact of what we do is so important to us, and this continues to guide and motivate us.
Amy and I have both loved working in the recruitment industry from the very start as it has given us the opportunity to engage with people and forge deep rooted relationships where we have become trusted partners to both our clients and candidates alike. We are committed to consulting with our stakeholders by providing honest and straight forward advice whether it is around market conditions, job opportunities or salary expectations.
