Metier Peoples is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a private equity backed global organisation in Edinburgh, to assist with their search for a Senior Treasury Analyst for a 6 month contract.
This is a fantastic job, which has come about due to continued growth within the business. It will offer the successful candidate the chance to join a progressive function in a commercial environment.
The Senior Treasury Analyst will assume the daily operational responsibilities for cash management, forecasting, reporting, foreign currency trades and support the treasury team and the global finance teams, with transactional banking queries and ad hoc project tasks.
Responsibilities:

Preparation of daily cash balances for EMEAA entities, sourcing data from multiple banking platforms

Assessing the short-term funding requirements and executing intercompany transfers

Executing spot FX transactions, to fund currency payments and issuance of monthly FX rates for reporting

Posting the accounting entries to reflect cash transfers and treasury transactions

Preparing the weekly consolidated global cash reports, for submission to the Group CFO and FD

Preparing the consolidated thirteen-week cash forecast for the group
-
Performing variance analysis of actual versus forecast cash, supported with follow up with global finance partner

Banking platform administration and support on maintenance of mandates

Provision of information to banks, lenders and agent to support KYC and sanctions queries

Supporting the global finance teams with transactional banking queries

Providing support to the treasury team as required on ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
-
Qualified to degree level in a relevant field (e.g. finance, economics, accounting)

Prior experience of operating at an analyst level within a treasury function or similar within finance or banking

Understanding of cash management and transactional banking
-
Strong numerical and excel skills with the ability to manage large data sets
-
Initiative-taker, with the ability to deliver to deadlines and work with minimal supervision

Effective communication skills to support engagement with global stakeholders
