Our client is a small investment business managing complex financial matters, leading on strategic initiatives on commercial investments, and day to day management of all financial aspects. We are seeking a hands-on, purpose driven CFO who can guide and balance risk of investments in fin-tech start-ups and manage the commercial oversight of a diverse range of business interests. The CFO will have overall responsibility for the financial direction and strategy, ensuring long-term financial success in terms of investment performance, tax & compliance, and cost control/analysis.
The role is offered on remote basis with an office visit once per month on average, it can also suit someone who wishes to work 4 days per week. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with solid experiences operating at Director or CFO level reporting to a Board. You should have a mix of experience with SME’s and large corporate.
Responsibilities
- Managing complex financial matters with precision and foresight

- Oversee all financial management reporting and associated analysis

- Responsible for the quoted and unquoted investment strategy
- Commercial oversight of a small business and property portfolio
- Develop procedures and policies across the business that mitigate risk, improve efficiency and/or increase effectiveness
- Budget setting
Skillset
- Degree in finance, maths, accounting or engineering discipline
- CPA or CFA certification
- Experienced and hands-on CFO
- Sound understanding of Trust structures
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Confident, calm under pressure and resilient
