Metier Peoples has launched the search for a UK & Ireland Tax Accountant on behalf of their client in the drinks industry.
Our client is a global leader with a portfolio of market leading brands sold across the world. They are now looking to add to their UK & Ireland Tax team with an experienced Tax Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
Day to day you will be responsible for supporting the UK & Ireland Tax Manager in the delivery of the tax function, preparing forecasts, accurate IFRS tax accounting, corporate income tax compliance and reporting, whilst supporting other areas of tax such as employment tax and providing tax assistance to various business units.
Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Tax Compliance – preparation of corporation tax computations and returns for UK entities. Liaising with and providing information to external advisors to prepare corporate tax returns for Irish entities.

Tax Provisioning – Ensure accurate IFRS tax provisioning for group reporting and local financial statements.

Tax Forecasting – Preparation of Budgeted tax ETR and timely tax payment calculations for UK and Ireland.

Assistance with the preparation of quarterly SOX reporting.

Group Compliance/Governance reporting: Help prepare various returns/submissions to meet group compliance reporting obligations.

Employment Taxes – support with the preparation of annual employment taxes reports (e.g. PSA, P11D, STBV). Previous experience not necessary and training will be provided.

Other Taxes support – provide information for transfer pricing reports; excise tax support; local R&D tax credit and incentive studies with third-party advisors, and capital allowances reviews. Previous experience not necessary and training will be provided.

Tax Audits and Responses: Assist in preparing responses to local tax audits and tax authority requests.
The Candidate:
This role will suit a first mover from Practice, or someone already operating within industry and looking for a new challenge. Ideally you will be qualified (CA, ATT, or CTA) but part qualified professionals are also encouraged to apply with our client being fully supportive of employees completing relevant qualifications. You must bring good UK corporate taxation knowledge, have excellent PC skills together with strong accounting knowledge, including IFRS.
