We are proud to be working with one of our key clients in the technology sector, who are searching for a Senior Manager to join their tax function and take ownership of the international tax work. You will be a key member of the team, reporting to the Head of Tax, providing strategic advice to the finance leadership team.
The Job:

Take ownership of forecasting, tax reporting and tax accounting and the impact of tax optimisation projects and the wider forecasting of international tax across the group.

Apply your specialist tax knowledge to identify opportunities to leverage available tax incentives, mitigate risk, achieve efficiencies in reporting and tax accounting processes.

Conduct research and work with advisors to ensure we operate in full knowledge of the tax obligations on global operations and on projects as the company continues to grow.

Construct and maintain the process and control environment to ensure tax planning is compliant including alignment with Legal on group arrangements, Financial reporting on intra-group charges, ensuring appropriate documentation and transfer pricing support.

Model good leadership to inspire direction and deliver, drive people and drive change across functions.

Collaborating across the business, with Finance, Legal & Talent, to drive forward business initiatives, you will lead on managing these projects.

Assessing standard operating procedures within tax and finance and providing recommendations for process improvement, driving efficiency and scalability of existing processes and those that come under the finance transformation road map.

Your insights and recommendations will contribute to enhancing the internal reporting processes and investment business cases, enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering operational excellence.

Monitoring project plans and timelines, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Conduct insightful workshops to guide teams on tax topics and through transformational initiatives.

Provide support to leaders in strategic analysis and project scoping.

Report to and discuss with the Finance Leadership Team the progress of tax projects.

Analysing the tax impact of business expansion into new territories
The Candidate:
-
Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or CIMA) , with 3 to 5 years post qualifying experience in either practice or preferably industry experience.

International tax experience – forecasting / tax modelling experience.

Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel skills.

Knowledge of global Transfer Pricing documentation and policies (preferred).

Experience of researching on tax technical subjects such as withholding tax, share plans, employee benefits, digital economy legislation changes.

Working cross-functionally to deliver projects.

Proficient in producing clear and concise reports and presentations for non-tax audiences.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and develop strong stakeholder relationships.

Experience of automation of tax processes and controls, (experience with SOX compliance preferable).
