Metier Peoples is delighted to be partnered with a global financial services company looking for a Treasury Manager based in Edinburgh on a hybrid basis. This job presents an excellent opportunity for someone with either an accounting or treasury background looking to take the next step in their career in the treasury space. The role is a great opportunity for someone to get exposure to working in a fast-paced global treasury environment as part of a well-established team.
The Role:
In this Treasury manager role, the main streams of workflow will be cash flow management, liquidity reporting and business partnering. You will work closely with other business areas to gain an understanding of the projected cash flow from each area.
You will be responsible for:
Cash flow and liquidity reporting:

Own and manage multi-currency cash flow forecasting models for multiple entities, including associated FX hedging and funding requirements.

Where applicable, prepare monthly regulatory liquidity returns and ensure continuous monitoring and compliance with current and future regulatory requirements.

Input into monthly ELT and Board reporting packs, including KPI reporting, commentary and variance analysis.

Support the Group Treasurer on various projects, including maximising value from excess cash, maintaining Group Treasury policies and optimising hedging strategy.
Business partnering and Treasury operations:

Act as a key finance liaison to various internal stakeholders, with the aim to drive accuracy in forecasting and actions to optimise business performance, as well as to further regional business performance accountability.

Provide insightful analytical review and reporting to challenge business performance and forecasting.

Support the regional CFOs to maintain liquidity risk metrics within risk appetite and advise on mitigating actions.

Policy review and recommendations across all areas including operational efficiency, governance, cash investment and optimisation, hedging, FX management and banking structure.

Review and approval of invoices for issue.

Pro-active management of aged debtors to ensure timely receipts, including client communication, payment updates and reporting.
The candidate:
The right candidate will be adaptable and have a positive approach towards problem solving and show a willingness to learn and grow with the business.
Preferred but not essential:
-
Experience in either treasury or operational cash management, FP&A, or forecasting/budgeting role.

Experience working with finance software (e.g. Nav/D365) and/or data analytic software (e.g. Power BI).

Finance or treasury qualification or studying towards one.
Required:

Intermediate to advance level of Microsoft Excel.

Five years financial experience.

Very good interpersonal skills. This role will involve liaising with various internal and external stakeholders.

Confident individual able to manage their own workload effectively to meet deadlines.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a high-performance team.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
