Metier Peoples is partnering with a growing business based in Stirling looking to appoint a Finance Manager / Financial Controller who will report directly into the CEO and form part of the management team. This role will oversee the finance team of four, with one direct report. This position is being recruited on either a full time or 4 days a week basis.
This position will have full responsibility for all financial activities relating to the organisation as well as 2 sister companies. Key responsibilities will include:

Financial planning; producing budgets and forecasting including 3-year plans.

Managing the audit and statutory accounts process.

Cash management; managing working capital requirements as well as cash forecasting and analysis.

High level of reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.

Business partnering with the senior management team.

Governance and control; implementation of robust and scalable financial processes and ensuring strong internal controls are in place and maintained.

Production of monthly management accounts and presenting to the Senior Management Team.

Line management for one direct report.
Candidate Overview
The position requires an individual who has a professional accreditation (CA / ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent) or is qualified by experience.
In terms of background, it is likely that the individual will have trained in a professional services firm looking to make a first move or has a strong background in industry. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong technical background and will have likely operated in a similar, fast paced or sales environment.
Regardless of background, it is critical that the Finance Manager/Financial Controller can demonstrate the right personal attributes; is commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach, willing to roll up sleeves, someone who enjoys working in a changing environment.
