Metier Peoples is pleased to be exclusively partnered with a global company, in Scotland, who are recruiting for Treasury Manager in the Central Belt.  This job presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Treasury professional, looking to lead exciting projects and develop their career within a collaborative, growing Treasury function.  This newly created role will offer the opportunity to add significant value to the business; helping to shape the role as you go.

The Role:

In a position to influence and shape the continued evolution of the Treasury strategy and function, you will be provide the banking structure to power the global operation while optimising significant cash assets and managing foreign currency exposures and requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • ·Cash and Liquidity – multi-currency cash flow forecasting (short term and longer term), provide insights on funding requirements, preparation and analysis of weekly cashflow reports, and the monitoring of cash balances to enable further investment for growth and earning interest.

  • Foreign Exchange – hedging proposals, monitor and evaluate existing hedging programs and make necessary adjustments, provide strong technical expertise to ensure optimal management of foreign exchange exposure in line with FX hedging policy.

  • Interest and Group Funding – monitoring of the market for interest and investment opportunities, on-going development of group financing effectiveness –  inter-company loans (including documentation/review, recording and reporting, settlement proposals), operational funding level reviews, support for company initiatives, dividends etc

  • Treasury Operations – active involvement with internal stakeholders, global subsidiaries and parent company, in communicating and executing against Treasury strategy.  Ongoing policy review and updates across operational efficiency, governance, cash protection and optimisation, fx management, banking structure.

 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will either be ACT qualified, a qualified accountant, or will have sufficient experience in a corporate treasury function to be “qualified by experience”.  You will need to demonstrate high levels of personal accountability and flexibility to prioritise and meet tight deadlines, with strong problem-solving and organisation skills, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
