Metier Peoples is delighted to be partnering with a growing tech business based in Edinburgh city centre looking to appoint an Accountant into their growing Finance team. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager and would suit a finalist / newly qualified accountant up to 2 years PQE.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting with the budgeting, forecasting & planning

Financial modelling and the preparation of business cases and capital fund requests

Development of the annual and strategic plan templates

Improve the quality of management information (MI) and KPI reporting
-
Manage the monthly global consolidation
-
Prepare and calculate month-end accruals and journal entries, along with associated balance sheet reconciliations

Review monthly results with the key budget holders

Support month end MI process, in conjunction with the Finance Manager, to deliver timely MI to the business

Prepare monthly financial commentaries providing analytical insight into business performance
Candidate requirements:

Finalist/newly qualified up to 2 years PQE – CA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent

Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation

Adaptable and able to prioritise effectively in a challenging and fast-paced environment
