Metier Peoples is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global company based in the Central Belt of Scotland, to recruit a Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director of Finance.  This job is a newly created opportunity that has come about due to the continued growth and expansion of business.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the finance team providing general ledger accounting,  statutory accounting and operational finance support ensuring continuous improvement of people, processes, and systems within the function to ensure optimal performance and business support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance leader who has experience of leading a team, to join a growing global business and continue the development and growth of a critical business function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting function

  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLAs with a focus on providing higher quality service as well as transparency to the internal customers

  • Manage timely and accurate delivery of actual financial information for the organisation’s trading entities, holding companies and subsidiaries

  • Balance Sheet and Working Capital Management ensuring cashflow and working capital targets are achieved

  • Manage Treasury Operations activities where required.

  • Accountable for the annual statutory accounts preparation process

  • Management of relationships with both internal and external auditors, banks, third party providers for services such as tax

  • Lead team through finance and business change projects – business integrations, transition, new systems implementation

  • Maintain effective operation of the financial control environment

The successful candidate:

  •  Experience operating in a finance leadership position

  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA)

  • Strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and approachable style to the business in line with the overall Group culture and possess a resilience to unexpected change in an ever-evolving environment.

  • Bring experience of engaging, communicating, and presenting to senior executives within a corporate organisation and the ability to explain complex financial information in a concise and simple manner.

  • Have a flexible approach to leadership and be comfortable supporting individual team members, adopting a hands-on approach when necessary
